History
Alex is co-owner of In Light of Touch. He has worked for seven years as massage therapist at the Hyatt Regency Maui – Spa Moana. The last two years as a principal / lead therapist. Since Fall 2006 he and his family have been living in Portland, Oregon.

Alex started learning Jin Shin Jyutsu in 1996. In 2002 he added Cranio Sacral to his healing work. He applies both concepts in a session to the benefit of his clients.

Alex: Right now I am working on a 30 year old man with cerebral spinal degeneration. Among other problems, he is suffering from problems coordinating and moving his body, migraines and muscle pain. After about 26 sessions he told me that his bodily coordination is back to that when he was 15 years old, and that the migraines and muscle aches are gone.

This is a great success, and in opposition to the prognosis that he had to use a wheel-chair at one point.

The treatment I am providing for him is a combination of two modalities.

One is called Cranio Sacral Therapy and is focusing on the central nervous system, very gentle moves and stretching mainly on the spine. The other modality is called Jin Shin Jyutsu and is working with light pressure of the fingertips on certain points on the body (like Acupuncture, without needles).

A healing session is $60 and for better results several sessions are recommended.
